Bigger than the Lukaku/Rooney deal, Echo have managed to sign youngster Elliott Gregory on a 4 year apprenticeship deal. Elliott, 17, has just completed his level 2 after being at Oldham College full time for a year, since leaving secondary school.

Elliott has this to say on the move;

‘I would like to start by thanking Oldham College and my class mates for the last year, I have made some special friends and we have shared some amazing moments. However, when Echo come knocking at the door it is an opportunity of a lifetime and one that I could not turn down.’

“You can see the fight, determination and the spirit in this team and I want to become a part of that. I cannot wait to get out on site in front of 1000’s other tradesmen but before that health and safety training is where the hard work starts and I am looking forward to that.”

David Burns, MD said:

“Elliott is a natural fit for Echo. He has a good work ethic and makes a good brew. It is only natural that he wants to develop his career at the biggest company. He will be a great addition to the group and I know they will make him very welcome. I am really looking forward to working with him.”
